Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council of Centerville held their regular meeting on June 25, 1986, at City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. Present: Fritchie, Robischon, Zimny. Absent: Wilharber. Motion by Robischon, second by Fritchie to accept the minutes of the June 11, 1986 meeting, motion carried unanimously. PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: Mayor L'Allier received several complaints on the tandem trucks hauling through Centerville all night long. They should be hauling ten more nights and six more days. This is a route set up by the State on a County road. Clerk will contact Police Chief Campbell to keep a watch on the vehicles. Clerk will also find out who's in charge and request we be notified ahead of 'time should this occur again. Orville Hughes received a complaint on the drainage easement between 7170 & 7162 Shad Avenue needing cleaning. It was determined this is a City darinage easement. Orv will have the summer youth employee clean it out. OLD BUSINESS: Motion by Robischon, second by Zimny to set up branch cleanup on July 12, 1986 from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the City property on Cedar Street, motion carried unanimously. A Public Information Meeting is tantatively set up for July 24, 1986 at 7:00 P.M. in the Centerville Elementary School cafeteria. Clerk will confirm this date with the school, with Councilman Wilharber and with Terry Maurer - City Engineer. Clerk will also check with Councilman Wilharber and Terry Maurer on a work session for the Public Information Meeting on July 10, 15 and/or 22 at 6:Jo P.M. Clerk will notify Chief of Police Campbell of the drinking of alcoholic beverages at the City Park on LaMotte Drive and request they monitor the situation. Clerk will check with Flanagan Sales to see if there is any kind of brace we can use to steady the new slide at the Royal Meadows Tot Lot. NEW BUSINESS: Appearance of Kathy Brown, Anoka County Community Action Program. Ms. Brown updated the City Council on the activities of the Community Action Program in Centerville, and encaraged the Council to advise her of anyone in need. There are brochures available in the office of the City Clerk on the home rehabilitation program and the programs and services for senior citizens. Motion by Fritchie, second by Robischon to approve the beer permit request for the LiQds Club Steak Fry on July 20th, motion carried unanimously.
