<br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council <br />of Centerville held their regular meeting on June 25, 1986, <br />at City Hall. Mayor L'Allier called the meeting to order <br />at 7:00 P.M. Present: Fritchie, Robischon, Zimny. Absent: <br />Wilharber. <br /> <br />Motion by Robischon, second by Fritchie to accept the minutes <br />of the June 11, 1986 meeting, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS: <br />Mayor L'Allier received several complaints on the tandem <br />trucks hauling through Centerville all night long. They <br />should be hauling ten more nights and six more days. This <br />is a route set up by the State on a County road. Clerk <br />will contact Police Chief Campbell to keep a watch on the <br />vehicles. Clerk will also find out who's in charge and <br />request we be notified ahead of 'time should this occur again. <br /> <br />Orville Hughes received a complaint on the drainage easement <br />between 7170 & 7162 Shad Avenue needing cleaning. It was <br />determined this is a City darinage easement. Orv will have <br />the summer youth employee clean it out. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />Motion by Robischon, second by Zimny to set up branch cleanup <br />on July 12, 1986 from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the City <br />property on Cedar Street, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />A Public Information Meeting is tantatively set up for July <br />24, 1986 at 7:00 P.M. in the Centerville Elementary School <br />cafeteria. Clerk will confirm this date with the school, <br />with Councilman Wilharber and with Terry Maurer - City <br />Engineer. Clerk will also check with Councilman Wilharber <br />and Terry Maurer on a work session for the Public Information <br />Meeting on July 10, 15 and/or 22 at 6:Jo P.M. <br /> <br />Clerk will notify Chief of Police Campbell of the drinking <br />of alcoholic beverages at the City Park on LaMotte Drive <br />and request they monitor the situation. <br /> <br />Clerk will check with Flanagan Sales to see if there is any <br />kind of brace we can use to steady the new slide at the <br />Royal Meadows Tot Lot. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />Appearance of Kathy Brown, Anoka County Community Action <br />Program. Ms. Brown updated the City Council on the <br />activities of the Community Action Program in Centerville, <br />and encaraged the Council to advise her of anyone in need. <br />There are brochures available in the office of the City <br />Clerk on the home rehabilitation program and the programs <br />and services for senior citizens. <br /> <br />Motion by Fritchie, second by Robischon to approve the beer <br />permit request for the LiQds Club Steak Fry on July 20th, <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />
