TRANSFER OF LICENSE <br /> <br />No license issued under this ordinance may be transferred without the <br />approval of the Council. Any transfer ot stock of a corporate licensee IS c1....~ to <br />be. transfer of the license, and a kanster ot stock without prior Coundl approval is <br />a ground for revocation of the license. An .pplieation to transfer a license shall be <br />treated the same as an applieation for a new license, and all of the provisions of this <br />code applying to applieatiollll for a Ucense shall apply. <br /> <br />Section 15. INVESTlGA nON <br /> <br />(A) PrelimiMry background rmd ji1IanciDl inveBtitatiollo On an initial <br />applleatlOIl for a Ueanse, on an applkationfor transfer of a license and, In the sound <br />discretion of the Council that it is in the public interest to do so, on an applkation <br />tor renewal Of a license, the dty shall conduct a preliminary backgroUnd and <br />fmancial investigation of the applicant or it may contract with the Comn,;..,;oner of <br />Public Safety for the investigation. The applicant shal1 pay with the appUcatlon an <br />investigation fee of 5600 which shall be in addition to any license fee. The results of the prellmlnary IDvesliptlon Bhall be sent to the <br />CollllDissioner of Publlc Saiety If the application Is for an on.sale intoxicating liquor <br />license or an on.llllIe wine lkense. <br /> <br />(B) Comp1YJhensive background IJ1Id jinancial investigation. If the results of s <br />preliminary investigation warrant, in the sound discretion of the Council, s <br />comprehensive bac:ktilJ'OUDd and financial investigation. the Council may either <br />conduct the investigation itself or contract with the Commissioner ot Public Safety <br />for the Investigation.
