<br />. <br /> <br /> <br />J <br /> <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and Council Members <br /> <br />FROM: Staff <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Purchase of the Public Works Building in 2000 <br /> <br />DATE: March 8, 2002 <br /> <br />Council requested at its pervious meeting that staff report whether transferring of funds <br />from the Sewer, Water and Drain funds had occurred. Staff reviewed the 2001 joumal <br />entries for the account" riod 2000 and ascertained that the transferring of funds was <br />not completed at that time. Staff contacted Mr. Steve McDonald, ABDO, AB ,ICK <br />&. MeyerSto confirm same. Mr. McDonald stated that no transfer had been completed; <br />hQwever, there was some discussion to same. St!!ff questioned whether a journal entry <br />'should be preformed for the accounting period of 2001 if Council desir~. Mr. <br />McDonald stated that it would beullI'.R!"opriate. Mr. McDonald stated that the percentages <br />used for transferring of funds from the Sewer, Water and Drain funds for the accounting <br />period of2000 should be used for the purpose of calculating the amount. <br /> <br />Subsequent to discussing and researching same with Ms. Kim Moore-Sykes <br />(Administrator) and Mr. Paul PaIzer (public Works Director), the attached documentation <br />was located. <br /> <br />Staff requests that if it is the desire of Council to transfer funds from the above stated <br />accounts for. the purchase of the Public Works building, that they make a formal motion <br />to accomplish this. <br />
