COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Council Member Travis reported that the Planning Commission and the three Council <br />Members in attendance at the meeting had gone through Ordinance #4 page by page and <br />addressed all of the Mayor's concerns. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson asked whether Mr. Palzer was working on combining some of <br />the sections as requested by the Commission. <br /> <br />Council Member Travis reported that Corbar Companies would be coming to Council for <br />approval of a building in the industrial park. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson indicated that the EDC was seeking assistance from Staff. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes asked that the Chair call her with any requests. She then said that Staff <br />time is at a premium right now because they are trying to process the utility bills <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg reported that the Police Commission meeting was scheduled for <br />Thursday, Aprilll, 2002. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra reported she had attended the EDC meeting to discuss the <br />recognition picnic and the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting to discuss <br />Ordinance #4. She then reported that Ms. Donnelly-Cohen from AT&T had worked with <br />her and Ms. Moore-Sykes to resolve a cable issue for a resident. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers reported that the Park and Recreation Committee <br />had discussed allowing the Lioness Branch to run concessions during Little League <br />games. She then noted there was a flier being sent out in utility bills to solicit volunteers <br />to help supervise the skate park. She also explained that any serious problems at the park <br />would mean the ~ would shut down the skate park without approval by the <br />Committee. ~ <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg asked if there would be a better spot for the skate park. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers suggested that no matter where the City were to put <br />the equipment the same individuals would be there to use it and that is the issue not the <br />location. <br /> <br />Page 14 of 16 <br />
