City of Centerville <br />January 14, 2004 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />Mayor Sweeney questioned the LaMotte Park assessment as some of the preparation has <br />been done. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson explained that a little work had been done but this estimate includes curb <br />and gutter and adding aggregate base. <br /> <br />Mr. Moore-Sykes indicated that the public information meeting is scheduled for January <br />29, 2004. <br /> <br />Council discussed the schedule for the project as it is now one month behind the <br />projected timeline. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked if it is possible for residents to add drain tiling to the storm <br />sewer. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson explained that there is drain tiling for the road bed but sump pumps cannot <br />connect to that. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked whether running more storm sewer would help <br />with drainage and asked that Staff review the proposal for storm sewer to determine <br />whether extending in any areas would increase drainage. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked Staff to look into Metropolitan Council recommendations <br />for cities. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated she is concerned that the City not create a holding pond <br />behind the curb if the curb is higher than the yards. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers <br />to accept the feasibility study and set a public hearing for February 11, 2004. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />3. Kelly’s Korner Compliance Check Failure <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Capra, seconded by Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers to table this matter to January 28, 2004. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />4. TimeSaver Offsite Secretarial Rate Increase and Contract Renewal for 2004 <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br />Capra to approve the TimeSaver Offsite Secretarial contract renewal for 2004.
