City of Centerville <br />January 28, 2004 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney indicated that the employee checked the cigarette date and not the <br />alcohol date and they are working with employees to make sure it does not happen again. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated she is not in favor of doing an additional <br />check due to the fact that the department is short staffed. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member Paar <br />to approve Resolution #04-002 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />7. Centerville Lions Request for Special Event Permit – Fishing Contest <br /> <br />Mr. Kieselhorst indicated they have permission from Water Works for access but could <br />obtain it in writing if necessary. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated that the City would need to be listed as an <br />additional insured. <br /> <br />Mr. Kieselhorst indicated that the City would be named as an additional insured. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Capra, seconded by Council Member Lee to approve <br />the special event application for the 2004 ice fishing contest on February 7, 2004 <br />from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. Centerville Lions – Fete des Lacs 2004 <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated she would be opposed to doing the noise permit until <br />1:00 a.m. and would prefer midnight. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee indicated he has no issue going to midnight. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that last year Council requested that alcohol stop being <br />served at 11:30 p.m. and that is her request for this year. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Capra, seconded by Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers to approve the special event permit for the 2004 Fete des Lacs with the <br />thth <br />dates the 6 through the 8; Friday 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. for liquor; Saturday <br />9:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for alcohol. Noise from <br />Noon to Midnight. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Kieselhorst indicated the Lions would have concessions at the ice races during the <br />Frozen Fete des Lacs. <br /> <br />Page 8 of 10 <br /> <br />
