City Attorney Hoeft indicated that the license for Sager’s Liquor would no longer be <br />valid because it is tied to a location and that location is now Centerville Liquor. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked that the owner of Sager Liquor be notified that <br />his license is no longer valid in the City. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member Paar <br />to approve the request of Michael Walmar for a tobacco license and off sale liquor <br />license. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Minnesota Department of Transportation – Inter Regional Corridor Management <br />Plan for Interstate 35 <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that MNDOT is looking for a representative to attend the <br />corridor management meetings. <br /> <br />Council discussed the matter and determined that daytime meetings should be attended <br />by Ms. Moore-Sykes and evening meetings by Council Member Broussard Vickers. <br /> <br />3. Payment Drop Box Purchase <br /> <br />Ms. Paulseth reviewed the proposal to purchase a payment drop box with Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers commented that she felt this was too much money to <br />spend so that residents could make a payment without getting out of their vehicle. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Capra, seconded by Council Member Lee to approve <br />an amount not to exceed $2,000 for the purchase of a payment drop box for City <br />Hall. Ayes – 4, Nays – 1(Broussard Vickers). Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. Economic Development Committee (EDC) Request of Council to Consider <br />Citizen of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Awarding Responsibility <br /> <br />Council discussed the matter and agreed to move forward with the business nomination <br />for this year and Council Member Capra will provide information on a new process for <br />having the lifetime achievement award every three years. <br /> <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Chauncey Barett Gardens, Phase II <br /> <br />Ms. Karen Skepper from Anoka County appeared before Council and explained the <br />bonding process and asked for Council support for the funding of Phase II.
