City of Centerville April 14, 2004 Council Meeting Minutes VI. PUBLIC HEARINGS 1.Lot Combination Request Submitted by Mr. & Mrs. Douglas Chesnut (Lots 4 and 5, Block 1 – The Shores Subdivision) Mayor Sweeney opened the public hearing at 7:14 p.m. Council Member Capra stated she spoke to the Rehbein’s, and that they have no problem with this lot combination. Motion by Council Member Capra, seconded by Council Member Lee, to close the public hearing. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Mayor Sweeney closed the public hearing at 7:17 p.m. Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers, to approve the Lot Combination Request submitted by Mr. & Mrs. Douglas Chesnut (Lots 4 and 5, Block 1 – The Shores Subdivision). All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. 2.Lot Splits Request Submitted by Mr. Richard Davidson (1337 Mound Trail) Council Member Broussard Vickers stated the existing house would become a non- conformity once the lot split occurred. There was a discussion about access for the fire department to the property and the need for a 20-foot road with a five-ton design. Mayor Sweeney suggested getting something in writing from the property owner saying they would build a five-ton road if the City grants the lot split. Council Member Capra suggested continuing the public hearing in order to address the issues with the property owner. Motion by Council Member Capra, seconded by Council Member Lee to continue the public hearing. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. Public Works Director will be in contact with the property owner. 3.Street Vacation/Easement Submitted by Mr. Clay Alcock (Mill Road th Extension/8 Street) 4.Rezone/Comprehensive Plan Amendment Request Submitted by Mr. Dennis Shudy (Cedar Street Park) Mayor Sweeney opened the public hearings on items 3 and 4 at 6:59 p.m. Page 3 of 11
