City of Centerville <br />April 14, 2004 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />VI. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br /> <br />1.Lot Combination Request Submitted by Mr. & Mrs. Douglas Chesnut (Lots 4 and <br />5, Block 1 – The Shores Subdivision) <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney opened the public hearing at 7:14 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra stated she spoke to the Rehbein’s, and that they have no problem <br />with this lot combination. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Capra, seconded by Council Member Lee, to close the <br />public hearing. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney closed the public hearing at 7:17 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers, <br />to approve the Lot Combination Request submitted by Mr. & Mrs. Douglas <br />Chesnut (Lots 4 and 5, Block 1 – The Shores Subdivision). All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Lot Splits Request Submitted by Mr. Richard Davidson (1337 Mound Trail) <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers stated the existing house would become a non- <br />conformity once the lot split occurred. <br /> <br />There was a discussion about access for the fire department to the property and the need <br />for a 20-foot road with a five-ton design. <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney suggested getting something in writing from the property owner saying <br />they would build a five-ton road if the City grants the lot split. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra suggested continuing the public hearing in order to address the <br />issues with the property owner. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Capra, seconded by Council Member Lee to continue <br />the public hearing. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Public Works Director will be in contact with the property owner. <br /> <br /> <br />3.Street Vacation/Easement Submitted by Mr. Clay Alcock (Mill Road <br />th <br />Extension/8 Street) <br /> <br /> <br />4.Rezone/Comprehensive Plan Amendment Request Submitted by Mr. Dennis <br />Shudy (Cedar Street Park) <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney opened the public hearings on items 3 and 4 at 6:59 p.m. <br />Page 3 of 11 <br /> <br />
