<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY WORKSESSION MEETING <br />April 14, 2004 <br />5:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> Approved <br /> <br />I.CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney called the Council worksession to order at 5:30 p.m. Also <br />present at the meeting were Councilmembers Broussard Vickers, Capra, Lee <br />and Paar; City Administrator Kim Moore-Sykes, Finance Director Ellen <br />Paulseth, Mark Ruff, Ehlers & Associates. <br /> <br />II. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />Information Regarding Tax Increment Financing (TIF). Mark Ruff, Ehlers & <br />Associates provided an overview of Tax Increment Financing (TIF). He <br />explained how and when using TIF is appropriate. Mr. Ruff further explained <br />how TIF could be used for the redeveloped project as proposed by Jackson <br />Commercial. Council and Staff. <br /> <br />Councilmember Capra suggested that Staff schedule another TIF worksession to <br />further explore this issue, but asked that it not be scheduled before a Council <br />meeting as she feels the Council needs more time for this discussion. Council <br />directed Staff to coordinate and schedule another worksession. <br /> <br />III.
