<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION MEETING <br /> DECEMBER 8, 2004 <br />5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held a scheduled work session <br />meeting on December 8, 2004, at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br />Mayor Terry Sweeney <br /> Council Member Paar <br /> Council Member Capra <br /> Council Member Broussard Vickers <br /> Council Member Lee <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br />None. <br /> <br />STAFF: <br />Ms. Bender <br /> <br />OTHERS: <br /> Mr. Lynn, Lynn & Associates <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney opened the December 8, 2004, City Council work session meeting at <br />5:34 p.m. <br /> <br />II. LYNN & ASSOCIATES <br /> <br />Mr. Lynn addressed Council and requested that they review the presented profile and <br />advertisements for the City Administrator position. <br /> <br />Council discussed compensation in the form of a benefits package, contract, etc. Council <br />also discussed that other positions may have the potential of having a contract in the <br />future. Council chose to include the salary scale in the advertisements. Mr. Lynn stated <br />that a list of candidates would be forthcoming at the January 26, 2005 meeting. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding relocation and Mr. Lynn stated that every attempt would be <br />made to keep the candidates from within the State of Minnesota. <br /> <br />Mr. Lynn addressed Council regarding the goal setting/team building work session with <br />Council and it was determined that same would take place in Council Chambers on <br />January 15, 2005. Council would recess for lunch outside of Council Chambers. <br /> <br />Council directed Ms. Bender to contact Ms. Lakso to inform her of the work session. <br /> <br /> <br />
