It was our understanding that the
exterior work of our home would be completed in the spring once the frost
was out. It was also my understanding that the city had recognized (per
inspection) that our new home would not be 100% completed until late spring
early summer.

While our home was being built, construction vehicles left behind
indentations in the mud. This has caused large ruts making it impossible to
park in our yard. The city even recognized the condition of our property by
requiring the Builder (Tom Purmort) to escrow $1500 towards the final grade
of our property. This problem is compounded by the fact that there are
currently road restrictions in place. This limits what can be brought in
for a temporary fix.

On March 26, 2002 we (the Home Owners) were issued our second and last
arking Permit (No. 02-006). This permit will expire on April 1, 2002
_ringing to a close permission to park on the roadside without getting
ticketed or towed. This leaves us with no place to park since we will not
have a driveway until the frost is out.

In discussing this issue with City Hall, I have found that they have solely
focused on the duration of the permit and not on the conditions surrounding
the reason for this permit.

Council Member Mari Nelson we invite you to come out and observe our parking
situation. The simplest and least expensive way to deal with this situation
is for the city to extend the duration of the permit. This would only be
until the frost is out and a driveway can be installed. The city building
inspector is in agreement with this solution. He has seen firsthand what we
are up against.
We appreciate your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Steve & Heidi Maser
Horne Owners

EMAIL: mari@RK7.com
SIMPLY BOOKKEEPING, INC.
www.SBI.rk7.com
RK7 SYSTEM SOLUTIONS, INC.
