<br />The term of the license is the calendar year or the remaining portion thereof. The fee will <br />not be prorated. The fee for a license is set forth by the City Council by annual <br />resolution. The fee must be submitted at the time the application is filed. Fees are non- <br />refundable. <br /> <br />PERSONS INELIGffiLE FOR LICENSE <br /> <br />1. A license may not be issued to an applicant, or partner or other person in charge <br />of the licenses if the applicant: <br /> <br />A. Is a minor at the time the application is filed; <br />B. Has been convicted of any crime directly related to the occupation <br />licensed as prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, Section 364.03, Sub. 2 and <br />has not shown competent evidence of sufficient rehabilitation and present <br />fitness to perform the duties of the licensed occupation as prescribed by <br />Minnesota Statutes, Section 364.03, Sub. 3; <br />C. Does not have the legal authority to be employed in the United States; or <br />D. Is not of good moral character or repute. <br /> <br />GENERAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />1. Tattoos on Minors. It is unlawful to tattoo, pierce, brand or paint a person under <br />the age of eighteen except in the presence ot; and with the written pennission of, <br />the parent or legal guardian of the minor. <br /> <br />2. Prohibition on License Transfer. A license is for the person and the premises <br />named on the approved license application. Transfer of a license is not permitted <br />from place-to-place or from person-to-person without first complying with the <br />requirements of an original application, except where an existing noncorporate <br />licensee is incorporated and incorporation does not affect the ownership, control, <br />and interest of the existing licensed establishment <br /> <br />3. Hours of Operation. A licensed establishment may not be open fur business <br />before 7:00 a.rn. nor after 11 :00 p.rn. <br /> <br />4. Licensed Premises. The license is only effective for the compact and contiguous <br />space specified in the approved license application. If the licensed premises is <br />enlarged, altered, or extended, the licensee must infurm the Director of Public <br />Safety. <br /> <br />5. Effect of License Suspension or Revocation. It is unlawful to solicit business or <br />offer to perform tattooing, body piercing, body branding or body painting services <br />while under license suspension or revocation by the City. <br /> <br />6. Maintenance of Order. The licensee is responsible for the conduct of the business <br />being operated and must at all times maintain conditions of good order. <br /> <br />Page 4 of 7 <br />
