<br />. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />> Coverage of Community Events <br /> <br />People love to .see graduations, parades, pageants, and other community celebrations. <br />We are pleased to say that we have covered all of them for as long as we can <br />remember. We will continue to do so in 2003. <br /> <br />> Coverage of Local Sporting Events <br /> <br />According to every survey we've ever done, coverage of local sporting events ranks as <br />the number one type of programming viewers tune in to watch. The Van Production <br />department is as healthy as it's ever been. We have a new production truck, the <br />equipment is functioning well, and we have a strong production staff and technical <br />support staff structure. Van production goals for 2003 include: <br /> <br />!I Continue to fairly cover girls and boys high school sports <br />"Continue to develop volunteer base <br />.. Expand intern presence <br />"'Introduce new sports such as la crosse, and semi-professional hockey and <br />football <br />II Maintain strong relationships with local athletic associations <br /> <br />> Additional Programs <br /> <br />An interesting variety of additional programs have been developed as well. Viewpoint <br />explores a topic in depth, highlighting local organizations and topics, while Taking Care <br />of Business explores issues of concern to the business community. Plus we continue <br />to cover the Anoka County Board Meetings, elections, debates, Chamber of Commerce <br />speakers and school concerts and performances. Goals for 2003 include: <br /> <br />" The creation of a talk show involving local state representatives <br />.. Producing ariyrequested municipal programming <br />'" Documentary style program describing services ()ffered at Media Center <br /> <br /> <br />A lot more people know about us now than did a year ago. I credit the increased aware- <br />ness on a stepped up promotional campaign that included efforts from ALL staff <br />members. That doesn't mean we're done. Far from it. We have the following strategies <br />in mind for next year: <br />
