<br />2002 Budget Adjustments <br />City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />June 12, 2002 <br /> <br />Requested Council Action: The council should amend the 2002 budget to reflect the <br />proposed changes to accommodate the finance director position. <br /> <br />Background: The 2002 city budget included funding fur a new secretarial position and a <br />new public works position. Council hired a finance director in lieu of the two new <br />positions. The amount of$12,900 should be transferred from the public works budget to <br />the administration budget to augment the existing secretarial budget, which will fund the <br />finance director position for eight months. A worksheet is attached, illustrating the <br />breakdowu of the budget transfer. <br /> <br />Discussion: Staff requests direction from Council with respect to the disposition of the <br />remaining amount of$37,869, which is currently in the public works budget.
