Mr. Glen Powers. 1870 Quebec Street <br /> <br />Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that Mr. Glenn Powers would like to address Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Glen Powers of 1870 Quebec Street indicated he knew that the City had come out <br />and shot elevations but said he had not heard anything yet. Mr. Peterson indicated <br />there was no plan to bring up the grade. <br /> <br />Mr, Powers indicated he had put in 18 yards of dirt and it all washed away. Mr. Peterson <br />indicated it would take a major undertaking to fill in the area, <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated that putting the catch basin in would hold the water <br />rather than having it flow and wash away the dirt. K - '., J. <br />_ "'.' , . , ~. ," '--',WlIll'^ ,,--,- '^ thp .+^- -- .- <br /> <br />Mr. Powers said he feels the City needs to bring up the grade to 1 % as per Ordinance 8 <br />and that would mean the City would need to haul in fill, <br /> <br />Council Member Travis asked where the grade is not 1%. Mr, Palzer indicated the last <br />three lots on Quebec Street are not at 1 %. <br /> <br />Ms. Mary Mathison of 1874 Quebec Street indicated that the water washes across the <br />middle of the backyard and then out to the street. <br /> <br />Mr. Powers indicated that the homes behind him flow to his yard and his sump pump <br />runs 24 hours a day. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked how long the residents had lived in their <br />homes. Mr. Powers indicated he had been there since July of 1996 and Ms. Mathison <br />said she had lived there since May of 1996. Ms. Mathison then indicated that multiple <br /> <br />Page 5 of21 <br />
