<br />City of Centerville <br />July 24, 2DD2 <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Council Member CapI;a commented that the City does not have a policy. Ms. Moore- <br />Sykes indicates the policy changes based on the philosophy of the Council at the time. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated there should be a minimal investigation <br />and based on Staff determination make a recommendation as to whether there is enough <br />merit to continue. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra asked if Staff has the right to take photographs of properties to <br />investigate. City Attorney Hoeft indicated that anyone could take a photograph but if <br />told to leave the property they need to leave. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated the City does not have Staff going onto <br />property uninvited. ' <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson asked whether Council's directive to Parks and Recreation <br />concerning the concession stand was sent. Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that all were sent <br />but for the one that she only had an e-mail address for so that one was e-mailed. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson asked for an update on the Eagle Pass pond issue. Ms. Moore- <br />Sykes indicated she was not sure what had been done on the issue as Mr. Palzer is on <br />vacation. Mr. Peterson indicated that the Eagle Pass Subdivision is proceeding but he is <br />not sure on the status of the pond. Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated that the <br />developer has stopped pumping water from basements into the pond. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson asked for an update on the Hunter's Crossing trail issue that was <br />raised by Mr. Wilharber. Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated she had spoken to the public works <br />Staff about that and Mr. Palzer indicated he would be contacting tile County concerning <br />the trail but said not much can be done because it is a county road. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson indicated that Council had asked Staff on July la, 2002 to check <br />with the church to see if they want the road barricaded permanently. Ms. Moore-Sykes <br />indicated that the church had asked to have it barricaded for the chicken dinner but she <br />had not had a request to do so permanently. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson asked Staff to contact the church and tell them that if they want <br />the permanent barricade they need to do a formal request. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson asked for an update on the Sensus water meter installation. Ms. <br />Moore-Sykes indicated that the City has the software and it needs to be installed on the <br />new computers. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra indicated she would like to have an update as to when Staff <br />thinks the software will be up and running because that would be a consideration during <br />the budgeting process. <br /> <br />Page 20 of 22 <br />
