<br />:>Miscellaneous Pieces of Equipment <br />There are a few other sundry pieces of equipment that would help make our production <br />world better. They include: <br /> <br />!Ii Wireless mics for the studio <br />!Ii Wireless communication system for the studio <br />"A boom mic <br />"Fish pole mic stand <br />" General set pieces <br />'"Several studio lights <br />"Several lightweight tripods <br />'" A DVCPro play deck for a dub rack <br /> <br />As a part of the formal franchise renewal process, we will have a complete fifteen-year <br />equipment needs assessment performed. Because this more thorough report is on the <br />way, a five-year equipment replacement plan has not been included as a part of this <br />budget. All of the recommended 2003 equipment purchases will be basic components <br />of any fifteen-year needs assessment. <br /> <br /> <br />Staff development will continue to be a very important issue in 2003. Rose will be near <br />completing her Microsoft Engineer certification, but even after reaching that goal, she will <br />need to take occasional classes to maintain her certification. I feel very comfortable with <br />the safety net we've established regarding our computer systems and network. <br /> <br />My primary goal in the area of training, in 2003, will be to expose Rick, our Video <br />Technician, to as many DVCPro technical repair courses as we can afford. Panasonic <br />offers comprehensive week-long courses that deal with various levels of repair for their <br />decks and cameras. As this is the equipment line we have chosen, it behooves us to <br />have a technician who is trained and certified to service them. <br /> <br />If we purchase a Tiltrac system, Rick and Joel, our master control operator, along with <br />some back-up staff will require a bit of training, in order to utilize the unit to it's full <br />capacity. <br /> <br />As for the rest of staff, I foresee a smattering of softwarE? application courses: <br />
