<br />11. Miscellaneous Items <br />A. Update on Task Force to Review Commission Make-up <br />The Chief remarked that the task force had met and there was no further, discussion <br />pending the return of the Commission Chair. <br /> <br />B. Monthly Activity Report - No discussion <br /> <br />C. Monthly Department Summaries for September 2002 - No discussion <br /> <br />D. Towing Bid Letter - The Chief sent out a letter dated October 3 requesting bids for <br />towing services in 2003. <br /> <br />E. Minnesota Chief's Magazine Consolidation Articles - The Commission appreciated <br />the writeups and inclusion in the Commissioners monthly packets. The stories were <br />well written and highlighted communities consolidating police services in South Lake <br />Minnetonka, Minnetrista, and our department. <br /> <br />Executive Session <br />At 10:18 PM Vice-chair Pitchford moved the Commission to Executive Session to <br />discuss the pending union contract negotiations. <br /> <br />At 10:32 PM the Commission ended the Executive Session and opened the <br />regular Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Action Taken: <br />It was the consensus of the Commission that additional information and <br />questions concerning negotiation and strategy of the pending union contract can <br />be answered by Cy Smith, Chief Negotiator for the Department.
