I <br />directed an underage buyer into these businesses for the purposes of ensuring that the <br />businesses are taking the appropriate measures to sell their tobacco products to adults. <br />The business that failed the compliance check is listed below. <br /> <br />Tom Thumb <br />Kelly's Corner <br /> <br />1801 Main St. <br />7098 Centerville Rd. <br /> <br />The employees that sold the tobacco to the underage buyer was cited for the violation <br />under state statue 609.685. This violation is a misdemeanor. I am advising you of the <br />violation since this sale to the underage buyer is also a violation of your city ordinance <br />number 66. Because of this, your ordinance lists specific civil sanctions that you can <br />impose on the employee and tobacco license holder for those business.
