<br />2. Overtime and Compensatory Time for Unionized Employees (From their Contract): <br /> <br />ARTICLE XI - OVERTIME PAY <br />11.1 Hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours within a twenty-four (24) <br />hour period [except for shift changes] or more than forty (40) hours within a <br />seven (7) day period will be compensated for at one and one-half (l \'2) time <br />the employee's regular base pay rate. <br /> <br />ARTICLE XXVII - COMPENSATORY TIME <br />Employees who are assigned to work by the EMPLOYER in excess of the <br />normal work day shall, at the Employee's option, be compensated at the rate <br />of one and one-half (1 'i2) time the Employee's basic hourly rate for all hours <br />worked in excess of the normal work day, or shall receive equivalent <br />compensatory time off at the rate of one and one-half (1 'i2) hours for each <br />hour worked, to be banked by the Employee to a maximum of eighty (80) <br />hours. Employees must request compensatory time off in the same manner as <br />they request vacation, however, under no circumstances shall request be <br />made for increments less than two (2) hours. Compensatory time may be <br />used for compensation of unrequested leave. If an Employee is termihated, <br />he or she will be compensated for accumulated compensatory time. <br /> <br />Proposed Overtime Time Language for Non-Unionized Employees: <br /> <br />Non-Exempt Employees - Full-time, non-exempt employees shall be <br />compensated for work their supervisor requires them to undertake in excess <br />of an 8-hour work day. Hours taken as sick leave, vacation leave, or holidays <br />are not considered hours worked for the purposes of computing a forty-hour <br />work week. The compensation shall be computed at one and one-half <br />times their regular rate of pay. The Employee shall be compensated for any <br />overtime worked in the same pay period it is eamed. <br /> <br />L__.~ <br />
