Centervi((e, M'J{ 55038 <br />(651) 429-3232 @ 1'"(4'( (651) 429-8629 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02 - 049 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING COSTS TO BE ASSESSED, AND ORDERING <br />PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR MUNICIPAL SERVICES <br />WITHIN THE PHEASANT MARSH PHASE 1 DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a contract was entered into for the improvements of municipal services <br />(roads, curb/gutter, water and sewer and street lighting) within the Pheasant Marsh Phase <br />I Development and the contract (bid) price for such improvement is $726,615.90 and the <br />expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of such improvement amount to <br />$ so that the total cost ofthe improvement will be $ to benefited <br />property owners within the development (22 parcels). < <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />CENTERVlLLE, MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />I. The portion of the cost of such improvement to be paid by the city is <br />hereby declared to be $ and the portion of the cost to be assessed <br />against benefited property owners is declared to be $ <br />2. Assessments shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over <br />a period of ten (10) years, the first of the installments to be payable on or <br />before the first Monday in January, 2003, and shall bear interest at the rate <br />of eight (8) percent (%) per annum from the date of the adoption of the <br />assessment resolution. <br />3. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer and the Finance <br />Director, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially <br />assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or <br />parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, <br />as provided by law, and he shall file a copy of such proposed assessment <br />in his office for public inspection. <br />4. The Clerk shall upon completion of such proposed assessment, notify the <br />council thereof <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council this 9th day of October, 2002. <br /> <br />Attest <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
