PE:NALTY <br /> <br />Any person violating any provision of this Ordinance shall be <br />guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be <br />punished by a fine of not more than three hundred dollars ($300.00) <br />or shall be imprisoned in the County Jail for a period not to <br />exceed ninety (90) days or both. plus the costs of prosecution <br />in either case. <br /> <br />SECTION IX. PLACES INELIGIBLE FOR LICENSES <br /> <br />No license shall be granted or renewed for operation on any <br />premises on which taxes, assessments or other financial claims <br />of the City or state are due, delinquent, or unpaid. In the <br />event an action has been commenced questioning the amount of <br />validity of taxes, the City Council may on application by the <br />licensee waive strict compliance with this provision. No waiver <br />may be granted for taxes or any portion thereof which remain <br />unpaid for a period exceeding one year after becoming due. <br /> <br />SECTION X.
