<br />Exhibit A <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTYOFANOKA <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED MUNICIPAL SERVICES, UTILITY <br />AND STREET IMPROVEMENT ASSESSMENTS 21st AVENUE - FROM A POINT <br />APPROX. 600 FEET SOUTH OF MAIN STREET TO APPROX. 1,400 FEET SOUTH OF <br />MAIN STREET & CONTINUING ON A NEW UNAMED STREET PARALLEL TO <br />MAIN STREET WESTERLY TO 20TH AVENUE <br /> <br />l'[OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Council of the City ofCenterville, Minnesota will <br />meet on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the Centerville City Hall, 1880 Main Street, in the Council <br />Chambers commencing at 6:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter to consider, and possibly adopt, the <br />proposed assessment roll for the municipal services, utility and street improvements as described <br />above. Adoption by the Council of the proposed assessments may occur at the hearing. The <br />following is a list of benefited properties are proposed to be assessed: <br /> <br />PID# <br /> <br />ADDRESS <br /> <br />AMOUNT <br /> <br />R24-31-22-23-0015 <br /> <br />7047 - 21st Avenue <br /> <br />$400,000.00 <br /> <br />The proposed assessment roll is on file for public inspection at the City Clerk's Office. The total <br />estimated project costs are $1,791,364. The total amount of the proposed assessments to <br />benefited properties are $400,000 with the remainder being the City's responsibility. Written or <br />verbal objections will be considered at the meeting. <br /> <br />The amount to be specially assessed against your particular lot, piece, or parcel of land is as <br />stated above. Such assessment is proposed to be payable in equal annual installments extending <br />over a period of 15 years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday <br />of January, 2010 and will bear interest at the rate of five point five percent (5.5%) per annum <br />from the date of the adoption of the assessment resolution. To the first installment shall be added <br />interest on the entire assessment from the date of the assessment resolution until December 31, <br />2010. To each subsequent installment when due shall be added interest for one year on all <br />unpaid installments. <br /> <br />You may, at any time prior to certification of the assessment to the county auditor, pay the entire <br />assessment of such property, with interest accrued to the date of payment to the City Clerk. No <br />interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this <br />assessment. You may, at any time thereafter, pay to the City Clerk the entire amount of the <br />assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such <br />payment is made. Such payment must be made before November 15 or interest will be charged <br />through December 31 of the succeeding year. If you decide not to prepay the assessment before <br />the date given above the rate of interest that will apply is five point five percent (5.5%) per year. <br /> <br />LLL <br />
