<br />SUBDlVISlON. See subdivision chapter. <br /> <br />SUPPLY YARD. A commercial establishment storing or offering for sale building supplies, steel <br />supplies, coal, heavy equipment, feed and grain and similar goods. SUPPLY YARDS do not include <br />the wrecking, salvaging, dismantling or storage of automobiles and similar vehicles. <br /> <br />TOWNHOUSE. Single-family, attached units in structures housing 3 or more continuous <br />dwelling umts, sharing a common wall, eacn having separate and individuaf front and rear entrances; <br />the structures being as of a row house type as distinguished from multiple-dwelling apartment <br />buildings. <br /> <br />11lA VEL TRAILERS. A mobile vehicle with wheels, designed for overnight living or camping <br />purposes, capable of being towed by a motor vehicle. <br />UNIT-mobile home park. A section of ground in a mobile home park of not less than 7,500 square <br />feet of unoccupied space in an area designated as the location for I mobile home, off-street parking <br />space for 2 automobiles and other uses considered pertinent to the establishment and use of a mobile <br />home residence as permitted by this chapter. <br />(Old. 25, passed 10-13-1976) <br /> <br />USABLE tJpENSPACE... A ground area ~n a lot, which is graded, Qeve10Pt:d, landscaped or <br />equipped or intended and maintained for recreation or leisure, available to and usable by persons <br />occupying a dwelling unit and their guests. <br /> <br />USE, PERMITTED. A use that is permitted in the district under which it is listed. <br /> <br />VARIANCE. The waiving by Board action of the literal provisions of the zoning chapter in <br />instances where their strict enforcement would cause undue hardship because of circwnstances unique <br />to the individual property under consideration. <br /> <br />VEmCLE. Any vehicle which is self-propelled or designed to be pushed or pulled and shall <br />include but not be limited to automobiles, busses, motorbikes, motorcycles, motor scooters, trucks, <br />tractors, go-carts, golf carts, campers, trailers, boats, planes and gliders. <br /> <br />VEmCLE, ABANDONED. Any vehicle as defined in this section, which does not have lawfully <br />affixed or attached thereto an unexpired state registration or license plate or plates, or the condition of <br />which is wrecked, dismantled, partially dismantled, inoperative, abandoned or discarded. <br /> <br />WATER-ORIENTED ACCESSORY STRUCTURE OR FACH.JTY. A small above-ground <br />building or other improvement except stairways, fences, docks and retaining walls which, because of <br />the relationship of its use to a surface water feature, reasonably needs to be located closer to public <br />waters than the normal structure setback. Examples of these structures and facilities include <br />boathouses, gazebos, screen houses, fish houses, pwnp houses and detached decks. <br /> <br />WETLAND. Lands transitional between terrestrial and aquatic systems where the water table is <br />usually at or near the surface or the land or is covered by shallow water. For purposes of this <br />definition, WETLANDS must have the following 3 characteristics: <br /> <br />(1) Predominance of hydric soils; <br /> <br />(2) Are inundated or saturated by surface or groundwater at a frequency and duration <br />sufficient to support a prevalence ofhydrophytic vegetation typically adapted for life in saturated soil <br />conditions; and <br /> <br />14 <br />
