<br />h. Severe Weather: I would like to see something in the permit as to what will <br />happen in the event of severe weather. We need to set/understand the protocol for <br />cancelling the race (addressed previously), the parade, the softball games, and the <br />street dances? <br /> <br />Miscellaneous <br /> <br />a. Vendors: last year the event organizers had a problem with unlicensed vendors <br />during the parade. Tom advises that no permits will be issued to vendors and <br />that anyone caught vending without a permit will be asked to leave. If they <br />resist the police will be requested to intervene. <br /> <br />b. Monev Escort: I have a recollection that uniformed presence has been <br />requested in the past to remove cash from the event. If my memory is correct <br />we should be prepared to comply with this request. I do not see why the east <br />side squad couldn't handle this subject to calls. <br /> <br />c. Identification of Volunteers: Tom indicates that volunteers for the weekend's <br />events will wear an easily identifiable event staff T-shirt. Tom and Michelle <br />Lakso have spoken and she has agreed that CERT members who volunteer at <br />the event will wear the same T-shirt (rather than their hats and vests). <br /> <br />More updates to follow by either Pat or me.
