<br />The City Council ofCenterville, Minnesota met in a closed session on Wednesday, <br />November 30, 2005, at 8:20 p.m. in City Hall. Present were Mayor Mary Capra, Council <br />members Richard Terway, Michelle Lakso, Tom Lee and JeffPaar. Also present were <br />Administrator Dallas Larson and Jim Hoeft, City Attorney. The purpose of the closed <br />meeting was to review the status of litigation relating to Ronald S. Hugger and an <br />unsuccessful vehicle forfeiture. <br /> <br />The Council received a memo from Attorney Sandra Johnson reporting on the process <br />and actions that led to the failed forfeiture. Attorney Hoeft reported on the events as he <br />could recall them and indicated that he didn't entirely agree with Johnson's conclusions <br />on what went wrong in the case. It was noted that the League of Minnesota Cities <br />Insurance Trust (LMCIT) is processing the claim. LMCIT expects the forfeiture sale <br />proceeds to be available to settle the claim. <br /> <br />The meeting was reopened to the public at 9: 18 p.m. This being the last item of business, <br />the meeting was duly adjourned at 9:20 p.m. <br /> <br />Dallas Larson, City Administrator <br /> <br />/~ <br />
