<br />r <br /> <br />APPROVED 3-7-00 <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVJLLE <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />FEBRUARY 1, 2000 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof: the Planning and Zoning Commi~n of the City <br />of Centerville held its regularly scheduled meeting at City HaD, 1880 Main Street. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Commission member Brian Hanson <br />Commission member AI LaMotte <br />Commi~~n member Rob Sheppard <br />Commission member David Kilian <br />Commission member Ray DeVine <br /> <br />ABSENT: Commission member John Mclean <br /> <br />Staff members present: Mayor Tom Wilharber, Council member liaison Linda Broussard <br />Vickers <br /> <br />............................................................................ <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Acting chairperson Brian Hanson ca1led the ~tidg to order at 6:30 p.rn. <br /> <br />PUBLIC BEARING - RICK CARLSON PRELIMINARY PLAT <br /> <br />Acting chairperson B. Hansson opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Mr. Carlson presented his concept of the proposed sub-division "Hunter's Crossing". <br />The plat would consist oftbirty-seven lots, with homes starting at $200,000. Mr. Carlson <br />stated with the proposed POO, the average size of the front of the houses will be <br />approximately 94 feet, and the average size of the lots is 21, 400 square feet. Mr. Carlson <br />feels he qualifies for the RS zoning due to the square footage, but is requesting a PUD, <br />due to the front footage requirements. <br /> <br />Mr. Carlson indicated along with the preliminary plat request, he is looking for approval <br />ofa lot spilt on the Baumann property. Mr. Bautn9J1n's son was present, and is aware the <br />water/sewer will be run on his property and bas the intention of hooking up. Mr. Carlson <br />stated he would be asking for a variance for the pole barn currently located on the <br />Baumann property about 300 feet offCentervil1e Road and 260 feet from Hunter's Trail <br />Road. Mr. Vanderbeek and Mr. Zerwas live directly across from the proposed plat, and <br />were present at the meeting. They have mentioned to Mr. Carlson prior to the meeting <br /> <br />1 <br />
