<br />1l.~1A?'O~,~, <br />!V.~;!--'_.JL ~ <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Council Members <br /> <br />Kim Stephan '.fJ> <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Economic Development Committee Recommendations <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />March 19, 2004 <br /> <br />The following is from the February 10, 2004 Economic Development Committee <br />Meeting Minutes: <br /> <br />At the January 11, 2004 EDC meeting the committee decided on Thursday, March 18, <br />2004 at 6:30 p.m. for a Winter Speaker Meeting with Centerville Businesses Owners. <br />Committee Member Scheller and Vice-Chairperson Backman will contact speakers. <br />Committee Member Backman will draft a letter thanking businesses for their <br />participation in Frozen Fete des Lacs and inviting them to both the speaker meeting and <br />the Business Appreciation Barbeque which will be held May 11,2004. Ms. Stephan will <br />send the information to businesses. The committee members will contact businesses by <br />phone prior to the events. <br /> <br />At the March 16, 2004 Committee meeting the following motion was made: <br /> <br />Motion was made by Vice-Chairperson Backman, seconded by Chairperson Burke <br />to request from City Council the expenditure of fuuds uot to exceed $50 to purchase <br />supplies for the Speaker Meeting with Centerville Businesses Owners. All in Favor: <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />
