Council Member Broussard Vickers commented that the developer has the responsibility to bear the costs associated with his development. Council asked the Engineer to determine who much it will cost and the City Attorney to determine whether the City can require that the developer pay for it. Council briefly discussed the possibility of a grading inspection prior to sodding in an attempt to try and eliminate drainage issues. Council Member Broussard Vickers asked whether the City needed to prepare a report at the end of the slaughterhouse moratorium. City Attorney Hoeft indicated that the moratorium would expire at the end of July and no report is necessary. Mayor Sweeney read a letter from Officer Bernardy indicating that all businesses with tobacco licenses passed the latest compliance check. Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated she would be interested in security training if there is something available on a Saturday moming. Council Member Capra indicated that she has heard from residents that Dresel Contracting is doing a great job of keeping them infonned and they have been very courteous. She then thanked them for their professionalism. Council Member Lee suggested that Staff send a letter to them acknowledging their efforts and thanking them for their professionalism for the work on Peterson Trail. Council agreed. Council Member Paar indicated he would not be able to attend the County Road 14 meeting on Thursday, June 24, 2004. Council Member Capra indicated she would be able to attend. Ms. Moore-Sykes indicated that she is attempting to schedule SRF for a worksession on July 14, 2004 befure the Council meeting. Council recessed at 8: 13 prior to commencing the Executive Session.
