(651) 429.8629 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-034 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE COUNTY STATE AID IDGHWAY 14, I-35W TO I-35E, STUDY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the continued growth of the county and surrounding area is leading to increasing travel demand <br />along the County State Aid Highway 14 corridor which, if unmanaged, can negatively affect the level of <br />performance, safety, and congestion experienced by users of the corridor; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, community leaders, motorist, and road authorities have identified this growing travel demand and <br />development pressure as a concern with potential negative consequences for mobility and safety in the corridor, <br />with the potential to degrade the performance level now provided by the corridor, and the resulting implications <br />eor the economy and quality of life of the region; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Anoka County, with the support of the Cities of Centerville and Lino Lakes, solicited for and will <br />receive federal funds for the reconstruction of CSAH 14 from I-35W to I-35E in 2006 and said construction <br />project is identified in the 2004-2008 Five Year Highway Improvement Plan as approved by the Anoka County <br />Board of Commissioners; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cities of Centerville and Lino Lakes and Anoka County as the first step of the project <br />development phase of the County State Aid Highway 14 reconstruction project have completed an alternative <br />analysis study to evaluate design concepts and look at the long-term role that the County State Aid Highway 14 <br />corridor will play in meeting the transportation needs of the county; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Anoka County Board of Commissioners endorses the <br />recommendations of the County State Aid Highway 14 Study, Alternatives Analysis Report. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Anoka County Board of Commissioners is committed to working in <br />partnership with the Cities of CentervilIe and Lino Lakes in order to implement the recommendations of the <br />County State Aid Highway 14 Study, Alternatives Analysis Report. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council this 14th day ofJuly, 2004. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Attest: <br /> <br />Mayor, Terry Sweeney <br /> <br />City Clerk, Teresa Bender <br />
