The
resident that recently brought this to our attention stated that there was a mini-van
approaching some children on bicycles utilizing the trail when the driver yelled at them to
get out of the way.

The City would like to offer working with the school district in posting this trail way with
similar signs as the City currently has located farther down the trail way at the Lakeland
Hills Subdivision for child and pedestrian safety.

There are numerous designs for posting and breakaway gating to limit motorized usage of
these trails except when necessary, in an emergency capacity by the police department.
If you desire, please contact our Public Works Director/Building Official Mr. Paul Palzer
at (651) 429-4750.

Sincerely,

,~......".~

~-

Ms. Ki Moore-Sykes
City Administrator

KMS/tdb
