This is a list that they have collected from
cities that have used these firms and had positive results/experiences.

In looking at the list, I have participated in seminars or conferences that some of these
Irrms have presented. The League of Minnesota Cities has used Neu & Company for
several sessions of their newly elected and experienced elected officials. Mr. Carl Neu
has also done presentations for many public professional associations and is very familiar
with the Twin Cities. In addition to his academic experiences, Mr. Neu served as a
conncilmember.

Karen Ray Associates has worked with several metropolitan cities, has done workshops
at the LMC's Annual Conference and has done presentations at various professional
associations. I have also attended some of her workshops and found them very insightful.

Craig Rapp of Craig Rapp Consulting, Inc. seems to be in demand, particularly in the
area of staffi'conncil relations. Mr. Rapp was the city administrator for Brooklyn Park
when Jesse Ventura was elected mayor of that community. Mr. Rapp has also been a
presenter at the League's Annual Conference.

Don Salverda of Salverda & Associates is also well known in the Twin Cities and the
surronnding states of North and South Dakota, Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois. Mr.
Salverda is a former Ramsey County Commissioner, serving the Roseville area.

I am very familiar with Lynn & Associates as Jim Lynn and his daughter, Lisa Lynn has
been facilitating team building and strategic planning sessions for the City of New
Brighton. I also worked with Jim and Lisa when I was the assistant city manager in St.
Anthony Village.
