This is a contact <br />that you have to make with a contractor of your choosing. You will be <br />responsible for the fees associated with this work. A connection fee from <br />the City of $1,500 is charged to the contractor or yourself for this <br />connection. <br /> <br />At the time that water is connected to the house, to the above referenced <br />water line, a water meter fee of $305 is charged to the plumber or yourself <br />for the meter used in the calculation of your water bill. <br /> <br />The connection of utility services needs to be completed by a licensed <br />plumber with the property owner responsible for any plumbing expenses. <br />A Plumbing Permit is required for this work and the fee is $20.50. <br /> <br />The above stated fees are subject to change by Council resolution. <br /> <br />If you choose not to connect to the City Water service at this time, please remember that <br />if your existing well needs repair it is a violation of City Ordinance #45 to repair and <br />connection into the City Water service is required. <br /> <br />Ordinance #45, Section 18 - Private Wells, states .that "Except where municipal water is <br />not available, it shall be unlawful to construct, reconstruct, or repair any private water <br />
