<br />Roger & Mari Nelson <br />1846 73rd Street <br />Centerville, MN 55038 <br /> <br />July 28, 2004 <br /> <br />RE: Mill & Overlaid Project on Peterson Trail (at 73'd Street) <br />PIN# R14-31-22-43-0065 <br /> <br />Dear Mayor and Council: <br /> <br />In January 2004 we received a notice that our property would be assessed for <br />the Mill & Overlay of Peterson Trail, because we have a corner lot on 73rd Street <br />& Peterson Trail. The Notice of January 7, 2004 states improvements will be <br />made to Peterson Trail from Fox Run to 73rd Street. <br /> <br />The mill & overlay did NOT extend to 73rd Street. <br /> <br />We are concerned that we will be assessed for work that was not performed. We <br />have been expecting some documentation from the City resending the notice; <br />stating we will not be assessed for the project. <br /> <br />Earlier this year we (as well as our neighbors) received a certified letter from Ms. <br />Moore-Sykes regarding the reconstruction of 73rd Street from Brian Drive to 20th <br />Upon inquiry of this project (via telephone conversation with Ms. Theresa <br />Bender) she total me she made an error in sending us the letter and the project <br />did not affect our property. <br /> <br />In view of the above mentioned error, the loss of the City Finance Director, the <br />history of mismanagement at the City, and without any documentation to the <br />contrary we are genuinely concerned we will be assessed regardless of the lack <br />of improvement to Peterson Trail at 73rd Street. <br /> <br />Please send your reply to: <br />Roger & Mari Nelson, 1846 73rd Street, Centerville, MN 55038 <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Mari & Roger Nelson <br />
