<br />City of Centerville Ord. #23 <br />Effective: August 23, 1974 <br /> <br />STAlE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OFANOKA <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #23 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE SALARIES OF THE COUNCIL PERSONS <br />AND MAYOR FOR THE CITY OF CENlERVILLE, ANOKA COUNTY, <br />MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The City Council of the City ofCenterville ordains: <br /> <br />The City ofCentervilJe, a statutory city has adopted an ordinance to fix their own salaries <br />as members of the governing body and the salary of the elected officer of the City, in <br />such amount, as they deem reasonable; <br /> <br />The City Council consists of the Mayor and four Council members. The City Council <br />holds regular meetings as prescribed by its rules; and special meetings that may be called <br />by the Mayor or by any two (2) members of a five-member Council by writing filed with <br />the Clerk who shall then mail a notice to all the members of the time and place of <br />meetings at least one day before the meeting; <br /> <br />It is the obligation of each elected official to attend regular and special meetings and; the <br />Council may compel the attendance of members. There will be no penalty for members <br />missing less than three (3) meetings per year; thereafter a missed meeting will result in <br />the loss of that meetings pay. <br /> <br />Therefore the salary for the Mayor is hereby established at $250.00 per month plus an <br />additional $25.00 for any additional Council meeting(s) and workshop(s) attended. <br /> <br />And the salary for Council Members is hereby established at $200.00 per month plus an <br />additional $25.00 for any additional Council meeting(s) and workshop(s) attended. <br /> <br />This ordinance duly passed and approved this 14th day of August, 1974.
