<br />--~~ <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I Memorandum <br /> <br />To: Operating Board/Governing Board <br /> <br />From: Deputy Chief Makela <br /> <br />Date: June 15,2004 <br /> <br />Re: MIMS Training (Overview for supervisor/political city officials) <br /> <br />Cc: Chief Heckman <br /> <br />At your request, I have contacted the Department of Homeland Security via the State of <br />Minnesota and requested a Minnesota Incident Management System (MIMS) overview <br />training session for all city council memhers and supervisors representing our cities. <br /> <br />The trainer of this program will be Kim Ketterhagen and he has suggested a four hour <br />session for supervisors and council members. The scheduled training session is set for <br />September 29. 2004 at the city of Lexington council chambers from 8:30 AM till 12:30 <br />PM. Ifwe have sufficient numbers, I will organize and request two sessions. <br /> <br />Please contact all supervisors within your cities and encourage them to attend this <br />session. The Fire Chiefs and supervisory staff should also be notified and encouraged to <br />attend. <br /> <br />Please telephone me by AUl!.USt 31. 2004 with the number of persons from your city who <br />will be attending this training session. <br /> <br />L__ __ <br />
