by our contractor. There has been no water issues, the slabs have not fallen, cracked or been
damaged in the slightest by having tl1e expansion piece tllere.

At the end of my meeting will1 the Centerville contractor and Ryan Goodman I was told tl1at the Centerville
contractor would bring another city official out to verifY that they followed city standards. TIle Centervil!e
contractor felt that he had followed these standards therefore no further action will be taken. Personally, I
find it hard to believe that the city would condone such sloppy and unprofessional work.

Initially I asked Mr. Goodman for tl1e new concrete to be removed aud replaced with adequate
workmanship and materials. However considering the contractors initial attempt, and their customer
service skills, I am now asking:
1. TI1at the replacement cement be removed at eWler the city or the contractors expense
2. The cost of the replacement cement be removed from our assessment of tlle Center/Dupre Street
project
3. I will contract someone at my expense to replace the tom out cement.

We were given the impression at the meetings with the City Council earlier tllis year that this project was to
enhance the value of our home. I fail to see how the work done on our driveway will do such. In fact the
new piece gives our property a cobbled together look. In any case, I refuse to be forced to pay for such
inferior work. We strongly believe !Ilat this new piece of cement will have to be replaced in a few short
years. Thus we will be paying twice for lnistakes made by the cement contractor.

Your inunediate attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. We look fonvard to your written
reply.

Si~~ a. ~
K~anr:;;an 0

1841 Center Street
Centelville, MN 55038
