It will take place from 12:01 a.m. Tuesday October
26th to, hopefully, around 6:00 a.m. Tuesday. What will happen is all
channels (including your government channels) will be disconnected from
the old equipment and reconnected to the new. Your channel will be down
until this is accomplished. I have been told by Comcast that it should
be reconnected by 6:00 a.m. If you have city channel viewers in the wee
hours of the night they will be sad, I'm sure. If you could all create
a page for your Scala explaining to your viewers that the channel will
be off the air during that time to warn them, that would be great. We
are not planning on putting anything on the channel during the cut-over.
Because it is taking place over night, the amount of work to create a
message source, and then wire and split it to 12 channels doesn't seem
worth it. If you disagree, let me know and I'll do what I can to have
something on the channel during that time. I have made Comcast aware
that Blaine and Circle Pines are scheduled to have meetings that Tuesday
night. They said the channels should be up and operational by 6:00 a.m.
that morning.

Any questions or concerns, as always, feel free to call.

Thanks!

Heidi

1
