It is our position that the work <br />performed was of no benefit to the Johnson property because the City simply replaced improvements <br />which the City had previously installed in 1996. There were no changes in the improvements. <br /> <br />In addition, the City is attempting to collect an assessment for the 1996 project in the amount of <br />$1,644.91, together with compounded annual interest. From what the Johnson have been able to <br />determine, the City lieversent a bill to the Johnson nor did the City evercertifj thisaSsessnient to <br />the Anoka County Treasurer for collection. <br /> <br />On behalf of the Johnsons, I am offering to settle both assessments by the Johnson paying the <br />original assessment of$I,644.91 and the City agreeing not to assess the Brian Drive property for the <br />new assessment.
