February 2, 2004 Dear Public Relations Representative: The families of CenterviIle Elementary School in CentervilIe ask you to be a proud sponsor of our annual mlNG teIIOOL CARNIVAL. Last year our carnival and silent auction were very successful due to the wonderful support given by local businesses like yours. This year the event is set for Sunday, April 25, 2004. The proceeds will go towards library improvements and classroom needs. We greatly appreciate any donation your company is able to provide in any of the following ways: . Donating any item(s) we can utilize in our silent auction (products, gift certificates, services, tickets to sporting/theatre events, etc.) . Donating any small items that may be useful for game prizes (pens, pencils, magnets, key chains, bags, etc.) . Cash donation For your generosity we will recogtiize your contribution by advertising your business in our weekly newsletter for at least three weeks prior to the carnival. During the carnival we will post a list of all the contributing, generous sponsors. Included is a flyer you can post at your business showing sponsorship of our carnival. We hope to receive all donations by Friday, March 26. Also enclosed is a self- addressed envelope to send your reply. (please refer to the second page of this letter.)
