<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY WORKSESSION MEETING <br />January 12, 2004 <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Unapproved <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney called the Council Worksession to order at 6:30 p.m. Present <br />at the meeting were Councilmembers Broussard Vickers, Capra, and Lee; <br />City Administrator Kim Moore-Sykes, Finance Director Ellen Paulseth, and <br />Public Works Director Paul Palzer. <br /> <br />Absent: Councilmember JeffPaar. <br /> <br />II. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />a. Capital Improvement Plan & Authorizing Capital Proiect Expenditures for <br />2004. Council and Staff review the draft of the Capital Improvement Plan <br />as prepared by the Finance Director. Council also reviewed proposed <br />Capital Project Expenditures for 2004 and directed Staff to place this item <br />on the January 14,2004 Council meeting agenda for further action. <br /> <br />b. 2004 Street Reconstruction Plan. Staff reported that a public input <br />meeting has been scheduled for January 29, 2004 at 6:30 p.m. at the <br />Centerville Elementary School <br /> <br />c. Worksessions. Council directed Staff to schedule worksessions at 5:30 <br />p.m. on the fourth Wednesdays of the month, before the regularly <br />scheduled council meeting. Worksessions will be held in the Council <br />Chambers. <br /> <br />d. CSAH 14. Staff gave an update on the reconstruction project of CSAH <br />14. The City Administrator reported that Anoka County and SRF have <br />scheduled a public input meeting for February 19th at the Wargo Nature <br />Center at 5:00 p.m. Ms. Moore~Sykes indicated that notices are being <br />drafted and mailed by the County, with City Staff providing labels to all <br />property owners and tenants. <br /> <br />e. Snowmobiles. Councilmember Capra had asked Staff to verify if <br />snowmobiles are allowed on the frozen creeks in town. Staff responded <br />that in calling DNR, they were advised that as long as the snowmobiles are <br />able to gain legal access to the creek, it is legal for them to ride on the ice <br />of the creek. They cannot trespass or destroy the banks along the creek. <br />
