Public Works Director In Centerville. He fO\Jnd some old maps In hIs archives, from 1971. 1984, and 1988. They show the ou1llne of ponds and wetlan(:ls along Brtan Drive, prior to any streets or houses. I superimpOSed these on a current base map of the City in this ares. You can see the edge of wetland In the Hardwood Estates pond runs diagonally through the current pond footprint. Based on thIs Information, I would say we could remove sediment from the southwestpart of the pond. (within the old wetland delineation) end deposIt It In the northeast area (outside the watland). ThIs is vary close to what I show on the c%rad map I sent you on JanuB/}' 13, 2004, Wa could note on that plan that only sediment from the road be excavated. . ThIs could be monitored In the field during construction. I estImate there is 1 to:2 feet of sediment on top of the original ground line. . . I plan to send the map out to several local contractors early next week to provide e cost quote for this work, which needs to be done In wlnter conditions.
