<br />CITY OF CENTERVll,LE <br />CITY WORKSESSION.MEETING <br />April 14, 2004 <br />5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Unapproved <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Sweeney called the Council worksession to order at 5:30 p.rn. Also <br />present at the meeting were Councilmembers BrouSsard Vickers, Capra, Lee <br />and Paar; City Administrator Kim Moore-Sykes, Finance Director Ellen <br />Paulseth, Mark Ruff, Ehlers & Associates. <br /> <br />II. DISCUSSION ITEMS <br />Information Regarding Tax Increment Financing (TIP). Mark Ruff, <br />Ehlers & Associates provided an overview of Tax Increment Financing <br />(TIF). He explained how and when using TIF is appropriate. Mr. Ruff <br />further explained how TIP could be used for the redeveloped project as <br />proposed by Jackson Commercial. Council and Staff. <br /> <br />€o~il:t~1r lra';::L~~ted that Staff schedule another TIF <br />worksession to further explore this issue, but asked that it not be scheduled <br />before a Council meeting as she feels the Council needs more time for this <br />discussion. Council directed Staff to coordinate and schedule another <br />worksession. <br /> <br />ill.
