<br />WHEREAS, Victory Sports has indicated that it is seeking to charge Corncast over $2.00 <br />per basic serVice subscriber for the carriage of its programming; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Victory Sports has stated that it is unwilling to place its programming on any <br />service tier other than the basic service tier; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Commission finds that the carriage of all major local sporting events on <br />Comcast's cable system is a need and interest of the Member Cities' subscnbers. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the North Metro Telecommunications <br />Commission as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the Commission opposes any carriage agreement between Corncast and Victory <br />Sports One that would directly or indirectly result in an increase in basic service rates <br />in the Member Cities; and . <br /> <br />2.
