<br />NOTE 4. <br /> <br />NOTE S. <br /> <br />NOTE 6. <br /> <br />NORTH METRO TELECOMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION <br />NOTES TO FINANCIAL STATEMENTS <br /> <br />OPERATING LEASES <br /> <br />The Commission leases its office premises under month-to-month arrangements requiring <br />monthly rental payments totaling of $4,884 plus a pro-rata share of property taxes. <br />Rental expense totaled $69,303 and $73,303 for the years ended December 31,2003 and <br />2002, respectively. <br /> <br />DEFINED BENEFIT PENSIONS PLAN-STATEWIDE <br /> <br />Plan Description: <br /> <br />All full-time and certain part-time employees of the Commission are covered by defined <br />benefit plans administered by the Public Employees Retirement Association of Minnesota <br />(PERA). PERA administers the Public Employees Retirement Fund (pERF) and the <br />Public Employees Police and Fire Fund (pEPFF) which are cost-sharing, multiple- <br />employer retirement plans established and administered in accordance with Minnesota <br />Statutes. For 2003, the Plan required employee contributions of 5.1% and employer <br />contributions of 5.53% on eligible employee payroll.
