The City Administrator asked the Council to consider
hiring for both positions at the same time, given the high costs of recruitment.

The City received more than fifty applications, which were pared down to thirteen
through an initial screening process. These thirteen were then asked to participate in an
interview scheduled for Thursday afternoon, April 8. and Friday, April 9. From these
interviews, the panel members, Ellen Paulseth, Finance Director; Tedd Peterson, Public
Works; Paul Palzer, Pubic Works Director and Kim Moore-Sykes, City Administrator,
selected the following two individuals to be recommended to the City Council for hiring
approval.

Richard Lavell
Allen Anderson

Should Council approve the recommendation, Staffwill contact these individuals on
Thursday morning to make them each an offer.
