The amount of the assessment as adopted is listed above. The <br />assessment roll for the project is on file in the office of the City Clerk. <br /> <br />A property owner may appeal his assessment to the district court pursuant to Minn. <br />Statute Sec. 429.081, by serving notice of appeal on the mayor or administrator of the city <br />within 30 days after adoption of the assessment and by filing such notice with the district <br />court within ten days after service upon the mayor or administrator. <br /> <br />Homestead property owners 65 years or older are reminded that applications for deferment <br />of special assessment must be filed within thirty days of the adoption of special <br />assessment by the City Council. Also, any property owner may prepay his special <br />assessment without interest within thirty days of adoption of the special assessment (by <br />July 10,2009). <br /> <br />Anyone desiring to prepay their assessments or to apply for a senior citizen deferment <br />should contact this office as soon as possible but in no event later than November 1,2009, <br />to express your intentions. We will then assist you in making sure the proper amounts are <br />paid or appropriate forms are completed.
