Project Name: Final Assessment: 243122230015 21 st A venuelBackage Road Project $ 379,000 This is to notify you that the final assessment for street improvements that were determined to benefit your property, was adopted on June 10,2009, pursuant to Minn. Statutes Chapt. 429. The amount of the assessment as adopted is listed above. The assessment roll for the project is on file in the office of the City Clerk. A property owner may appeal his assessment to the district court pursuant to Minn. Statute Sec. 429.081, by serving notice of appeal on the mayor or administrator of the city within 30 days after adoption of the assessment and by filing such notice with the district court within ten days after service upon the mayor or administrator. Homestead property owners 65 years or older are reminded that applications for deferment of special assessment must be filed within thirty days of the adoption of special assessment by the City Council. Also, any property owner may prepay his special assessment without interest within thirty days of adoption of the special assessment (by July 10,2009). Anyone desiring to prepay their assessments or to apply for a senior citizen deferment should contact this office as soon as possible but in no event later than November 1,2009, to express your intentions.
