CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />May 13, 2009 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held its regularly scheduled meeting <br />on May 13, 2009, at City Hall, 1880 Main Street <br />PRESENT: Mayor Mary Capra <br />Council Member Tom Lee <br />Council Member Ben Fehrenbacher <br />Council Member Jeff Paar ~ O <br />Council Member Linda Broussard Vickers 0 ~~~~%%% <br />O <br />STAFF: City Administrator Dallas Larson Q <br />City Attorney Kurt Glaser <br />City Engineer Mark Statz <br />WORK SESSION <br />Prior to the official start of the City Council Meeting, a Work Session was held at 5:15 p.m. to <br />interview Finance Director Candidates. <br />INTERVIEW PARK & RECREATION COMMITTEE MEMBER <br />At 6:15 p.m., the City Council interviewed Mr. Brian Peterson, a potential Park & Recreation <br />Committee member. <br />OPEN FORUM <br />Mayor Capra opened an Open Forum at 6:30 p.m. <br />Mr. Steven King, 1724 Sorel Street, appeared with a complaint about the Census Bureau coming <br />to his door. <br />Mayor Capra replied that she or City Administrator Larson would check into the issue. <br />Mr. King also stated that he would like a permit for a handgun. It was indicated he would need to <br />present a DD-214. <br />Councilmember Lee stated that the DD-214 is used to track military records. He stated that Mr. <br />King could go to the County for the permit, because at the County he would not have to supply a <br />DD-214. <br />City Attorney Glaser stated that the DD-214 is not required for conceal and carry. <br />Page 1 of 10 <br />
