City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />May 13, 2009 <br />Mr. Ruff encouraged the Councilmembers to talk to Ehlers & Associates' clients. He <br />stated that their ultimate goal is to maintain a level of respect and transparency with the <br />public. <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br />Selection of Financial Consultant <br />To allow adequate time for City Council Members to review each candidate, this selection <br />decision will be made at the next City Council Meeting. <br />b. Acquisition of Surplus Parcels from Anoka County <br />City Administrator Larson stated that the City has been working on this with Anoka <br />County. Anoka County identified surplus parcels and the City is ready to proceed. Some <br />of the funding will come out of the Downtown Redevelopment Fund. <br />City Administrator Larson reported that one property still has a building on it. Initially, it <br />was agreed that all buildings would be cleared off the property. He stated that a lease <br />agreement would be set up for that building. <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher, to <br />move forward with the Acquisition of Surplus Parcels from Anoka County as <br />outlined in the agenda materials. Motion carried. Council Member Broussard <br />Vickers opposed. <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br />Change Order #2 Peltier Lake Drive Project -Mill Road Watermain Loop <br />a. En in.~ Bering Fees Associated with Change Order #2 <br />City Engineer Statz reviewed a draft Change Order 2 for the Peltier Lake Drive <br />Project -2009.01. He stated that Change Order #2 is purely elective. <br />City Engineer Statz stated that, with the pending Trail Project, the trail is scheduled <br />to be on the east side of the road on top of the location where the watermain would <br />likely go. He stated that it would be timely to put in the watermain before the trail. <br />City Engineer Statz stated, twenty years ago some residents were given services, <br />but others did not want them. Public Works Director Palzer has requested install <br />services for all lots that do not have them. Six would have to be put it in, and six <br />could wait. However, it would end confusion to put them all in at this time. <br />Page 6 of 10 <br />
