All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />VL AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br />1. Captain Nelson, Centennial Police Department <br />Captain Nelson appeared to give the City Council updates on the Centennial Police <br />Department's activities. Some of the items covered were: <br />- Because of the radar speed sign on Centerville and Mill Road, speeding has been <br />reduced. <br />- The Police Department has been assisting with the 8K Run. <br />- An officer is working with Anoka City Water Patrol and others to resolve disputes <br />regarding water with the Peltier Lake Drive Street Project. <br />- Garage door stickers continue to be handed out to homeowners to remind them to <br />close their garage doors before going to bed at night. <br />- Next week, the Police Department will be helping Centerville Elementary with the <br />parades. They will have a Squad to lead the parade. <br />- The Police Department has received requests for additional lights in McBride Park, <br />and they are checking to see if adding one or more lights would be possible. <br />- They have started the Click it or Ticket campaign. <br />2. Mr. Paul Lund - AnokaBlaine Airport Expansion <br />Mr. Lund, who is a Commercial Pilot with asingle-engine pilot's license, appeared to <br />express his concerns about the AnokaBlaine Airport Expansion. Some of his concerns <br />were: <br />- Anoka is designated as a small airport. <br />- The area around the airport has become densely populated <br />Page 3 of 11 <br />
